WEAVING TALES, WEAVING WEBSITES:
Websites 101

Adding Pages to Your Web

  1. Click on Navigation view from the Views Toolbar, if the Navigation view is not already selected.

  2. You'll notice in the Folder List a couple folders and one page (your Home Page), named index.htm. This is the default name for the page that will get loaded in a Web browser when someone visits your site. For example, suppose your site is at http://www.imateller.com. The browser actually looks on the Web server for the file http://www.imateller.com/index.htm. So unless you have a very good reason for naming your Home Page something else, it's best to use the default file name.

  3. Click the New Page button in the toolbar. FrontPage creates a New Page 1, below the Home Page in the Navigation window.

  4. Add three more pages, using the same process above.

  5. Right-click on the first new page and select Rename from the Shortcut Menu. Rename the page About Me and hit Enter.

  6. Rename the other three new pages Programs, Testimonials, and Contact Me

  7. Now click on Page view. You'll notice in the Folder List that FrontPage has created the four new pages in your web.
